Farm History

Our family run tree business began in 1971 with the planting of 3,000 Douglas Fir trees. Since then, we have expanded to approximately 140 acres on 2 farms in the beautiful Mahoning Valley near Lehighton, PA. Our trees range in size up to 12 feet with the majority of trees in the 6-8 foot range.

We are quality growers of Eastern Douglas Fir (the tree with the best keepability according to Penn State University), Fraser Fir, Canaan Fir, Concolor Fir, Colorado Blue Spruce, Norway Spruce and White Pine. We wholesale approximately 80% of our trees as cut Christmas trees. The balance of the trees are sold on a retail choose and cut operation and as balled trees for Christmas and spring landscaping.

As a valued customer, we encourage you to visit us. Please feel free to give us a call and make arrangements for a tour of our farm. We grow quality trees and want you to see what you will receive. We normally have sheared and marked our trees by mid to late August.

For 2015, we are excited to let you know that we are currently transitioning to a 3rd generation of tree growers!  Along with their boys, Nolan and Logan, Jan and Ryan Wentz are taking over our family tree farm business.  Jan and Ryan look forward to continuing to offer the same high quality trees and wreaths as their father, uncle, and grandfather have grown since 1971.
